Workshop Summary
Track: Policy, Progress & Justice
Eden Housing inherited Light Tree Apartments project several years ago. It wasn’t in great shape when we got it but Eden couldn’t renovate it at the time because it was still in its old limited partnership structure. Thankfully, Eden and its partners at EPA CAN DO and the City of East Palo Alto, came up with a solution that not only financed the portfolio recapitalization but also doubled the number of homes on the site! Hear how the team worked with the State to rewrite the rules on TCAC scoring, secured free WIFI for the residents, and received the top score for a Cap & Trade project.
